At 16:43 on Saturday 13th July 2013, the temperature at Bracken House reached 29.0°C. This was the highest temperature ever recorded here, beating the previous highest of 28.6°C recorded on June 27th 2011.
This was the peak of a ten-day spell of hot weather in which the temperature topped 20°C on all but one day. On five days in this ten-day spell, the temperature topped 25°C.
July is now on course to become the first month in 2013 to record above average temperatures and could also become the warmest month ever recorded at Bracken House.
