The month was warmer and drier than average with very light <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Wind\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wind\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">winds<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The maximum temperature for the month was 23.6\u00b0C, the highest of 2014 so far, recorded on the 23rd at 16:04, and the minimum temperature was 6.0\u00b0C on the 6th at 04:54. The monthly average was 14.8\u00b0C, 0.8\u00b0C higher than normal, with the average high being 19.2\u00b0C and the average low 10.5\u00b0C. The average dew-point was 11.4\u00b0C and the maximum <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Heat index\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Heat_index\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">heat index<\/a> was 25.2\u00b0C at 19:25 on the 20th. There were 105.7 sunshine hours in the month, slightly lower than 2013&#8217;s total of 107.9 hours.<\/p>\n<p>There were 39.8 millimetres of <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Rain\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rain\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">rainfall<\/a> in the month, lower than the average of 61.4 millimetres.
